Teacher/Student Events

Under advisement of the USA DanceSport Council and the acceptance by the USA Dance Governing Council, in an effort to provide DanceSport for all, under the guise of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Sports-For-All initiative; USA Dance has replaced the competitive category of Mixed Proficiency with the competitive category known as Teacher/Student (T/S).

This category allows all teachers to dance with their students regardless of the designation of the competitive teacher. Thus Amateurs who participated in what used to be called "mixed proficiency" or "singles" with other Amateurs may enter this category as well as professionals who wish to enter with their students as a Pro/Am couple. Please refer to the Rules page for the guidelines for participation in this division.

All the events listed above are available in the Teacher/Student division as well. To enter these events, please select the "Teacher/Student" division and then the age and skill level of the student competitor:

Showdance Events

Given the limited time for a one day competition, we are not offering a Showdance category this year. However, please let us know if you are interested and if time permits, we may open this category up for entries. Please refer to the USA Dance rulebook for the rules for showdances before contacting us.
